The Kissybook is a not-for-profit open illustration book project to comment on love and identity, originating from an ambitious project for art school. This is a call for submissions for this project, extended to illustrators and artists of all kinds.

We are currently only accepting entries for the online gallery,
and for archival sake in the case that there are future books.

The goal is to create a lighthearted illustrated book exemplifying that love can exist between everyone
despite all facets of identity, gender, race, sexuality, cultures,
and other differences, using kisses as a universally recognizable as a symbol for affection.
Book form makes the project compact and easily distributable, as well as inviting to flip through -- flirty and welcoming, just like a sweet kiss!
While the book itself is curated for publication (for obvious economic reasons!), there are even more drawings online for an even more encompassing experience. Kissybook is not a contest! Every kiss has its place.

♥ Monday, April 9th, 2007: Stuff in the Gallery, some new, some revised. There is some in progress news at the Kissybook Livejournal Community, and I will soon be posting a list of those entries who made it into the book. ~ Kim

♥ Tuesday, March 27th, 2007: Thanks everyone, for your patience while the NEW UPDATED GALLERIES were set up!! You should all go take a look because all the entries are excellent, and there are SO MANY OF THEM. Some new info put up in the FAQ and a few things changed around on the site, loosening up a few rules and tightening up others. Only a few days left until the extended deadline :) Of course we will be taking in submissions even after that, for the web. Perhaps if popularity picks up, there could be a possibility for a second book? (This is wishful thinking! I should get the first book done with before anything, lol.) ~ Kim
